Musashi International School Tokyo (MIST) now accepts applications for admission to School Year 2024-2025 (September, 2024 - July, 2025). For SY2024-2025, MIST will continue to offer Cambridge-accredited programs for Primary, Lower Secondary, Upper Secondary, and Advanced Levels.

Musashi International School Tokyoでは2024-2025学校年度(2024年9月～2025年7月)の入学願書受付を開始いたしました。2024‐2025年度もMISTは引き続き、初等部(Primary level)、中等部(Lower Secondary)、高等部（Upper Secondary, Advanced)のケンブリッジ認定プログラムを提供します。 

The correlations of the Year-Level and student’s date of birth are as follows

Primary Level

Year 1: September 2, 2018 ~ September 1, 2019

Year 2: September 2, 2017 ~ September 1, 2018

Year 3: September 2, 2016 ~ September 1, 2017

Year 4: September 2, 2015 ~ September 1, 2016

Year 5: September 2, 2014 ~ September 1, 2015

Year 6: September 2, 2013 ~ September 1, 2014

Lower Secondary Level

Year 7: September 2, 2012 ~ September 1, 2013

Upper Secondary Level (IGCSE)

Year 10: September 2, 2009 ~ September 1, 2010

*Admission to Year 11 requires satisfactory completion of the first year of IGCSE for the subjects offered by MIST. Students from a non-Cambridge school entering MIST’s Upper Secondary Level must start from Year 10 regardless of their age.

Advanced Level (A Level)

Year 12: September 2, 2007 ~ September 1, 2008

Year 13*: September 2, 2006 ~ September 1, 2007

*Admission to Year 13 requires satisfactory completion of the first year of A Level or AS Level for the subjects offered by MIST. Students from a non-Cambridge school entering MIST’s Advanced Level must start from Year 12 regardless of their age.

*Year 13への入学には、MISTが提供する A Level科目の1年目修了または同科目のAS Level修了が条件となります。ケンブリッジカリキュラム以外の学校から進学・編入される場合、生徒の年齢に関わらず、Year 12からの入学となります。

Students' grade-levels are determined by their age as of 1 September. For example, Year 1 Students for School Year 2024-2025 have reached the age of 5 as of 1 September, 2024 (including students whose birthday is 1 September).

生徒の学年は、9月1日の時点での生徒の年齢によって決まります。

例:2024-2025年度のYear 1は、2024年9月1日に5歳になっている生徒（9月1日生まれも含む）が対象となります。

Admission to Primary Level (Year 1-6) /初等部の入学手続き

Phase 1: Selective Admission Procedure (Only for September admission)

Application submission deadline: January 31, 2024

Regardless of the vacancy and the volume of applications, all applicants who submitted the applications by the above mentioned deadline will be assessed. 

*To move onto the interview, all required documents, including the recommendation letter and the application fee payment, must be completed before the assessment interview.

Assessment Interview: February-March, 2023

Exact interview schedule is to be determined  in January, 2023

Notifying result: March, 2023

Based on the content of application materials and performance at the assessment interview, applicants receive following results:

• • Accepted- The applicants may proceed further in the procedure
  • Waitlisted- The applicants may be invited to proceed if an accepted applicant declined to proceed or failed to pay the registration fee by the due date.

• To be reassessed- The applicant does not meet the standard at the time of the assessment, but may attempt to improve the skills and come back for another assessment.  

• Declined- The applicants may not proceed further in the admission procedure.

Registration fee due: March-April, 2024

Remaining initial and annual fees due: July, 2024

*Due dates for fees are applicable only to students who received “accepted” results.

一次募集: 選抜審査

出願期限: 2024年1月31日

空き状況や出願数に関わらず、期限日までに出願された生徒全員を対象に選考を行います。

*面接審査へ進むためには、推薦状（Recommendation Letter）、入学検定料（Application fee）の入金を含む、出願書類の提出・完了が必要となります。

面接審査: 2024年2月-3月

面接スケジュールについては、1月中に決定いたします。

結果通知: 2023年3月

出願書類と面接審査の内容により、以下の結果が通知されます。

• 合格（Accepted）ー入学手続きを先へ進めることができます。
• 補欠合格（Waitlisted)ー合格した入学希望生が、入学辞退をしたり、登録料のお支払いがなされなかった場合に、繰り上げ合格となり、手続きを進めていただきます。
• 再選考（to be reassessed)ー選考時点では入学に求められるレベルに達していませんが、スキルを向上させ、再度審査を設定する機会がある結果となります。
• 不合格（Declined）ー手続きを進めていただくことができません。

学校登録料入金期限: 2024年3‐4月

その他初期費用・年間学費入金期限: 2024年7月

*入金期限は「合格」の結果を受けた場合のみ適用となります。補欠合格の場合は、個別に期限が設定されます。

Phase 2: Regular Admission Procedure (rolling-base admission) 

Application submission period: After February 1, 2024~

*Only applicants for grade levels that have vacancies may move onto the assessment interview. If vacancy is filled, the new applicants are placed on the waiting list

*To move onto the interview, all required documents, including the recommendation letter, must be completed.

Assessment interview: After April, 2024

Notifying result: Within a week after the interview.

Registration fee due: Two weeks after the notice of result

Remaining initial and annual fee due: July, 2024

*Due dates for fees are applicable only to students who received the “accepted” result.

二次募集: 一般入学審査

出願期間: 2024年2月1日以降

*空きのある学年が対象となる希望者のみ、面接審査へ進んでいただけます。空きがなくなってしまった場合は、空席待ちとなります。

*面接審査へ進むためには、推薦状（Recommendation Letter）、入学検定料（Application fee）の入金を含む、出願書類の提出・完了が必要となります。

面接審査: 2024年4月以降

結果通知: 面接後1週間以内

学校登録料入金期限: 結果通知から2週間以内

その他初期費用・年間学費入金期限: 2023年7月21日

*入金期限は「合格」の結果を受けた場合のみ適用となります。

Middle/High School (Year 7-Year 13)/中等部・高等部(Year 7-Year 13)

Regular admission procedure (Rolling basis)

*Only applicants for grade levels that have vacancies may move onto the assessment interview.

*To move onto the interview, all required documents, including the recommendation letter, must be completed.

Assessment interview and subject tests: After April, 2023

*Contents of tests may vary depending on the grade-level, the content of the report cards and transcript submitted.

Notifying result: Within a week after the interview.

Registration fee due: Two weeks after the notice of result

Remaining initial and annual fee due: July, 2024

*Due dates for fees are applicable only to students who received the “accepted” result.

*Year 10-11 and Year 12-13 are IGCSE and A Level respectively, both of which are two-year long programs. Generally, these programs only accept students for September admission.

一般入学審査 

*空きのある学年が対象となる希望者のみ、面接審査へ進んでいただけます。

*面接審査へ進むためには、推薦状（Recommendation Letter）、入学検定料（Application fee）の入金を含む、出願書類の提出・完了が必要となります。

面接審査・科目試験: 2023年4月以降

*科目試験の内容は、ご提出いただいたレポートカードや成績書類により異なる場合があります。

結果通知: 面接後1週間以内

学校登録料入金期限: 結果通知から2週間以内

その他初期費用・年間学費入金期限: 2023年7月21日

*入金期限は「合格」の結果を受けた場合のみ適用となります。

＊Year 10-11はIGCSE、Year 12-13はA Levelというそれぞれ2年間プログラムとなり、原則として9月入学のみの募集となります。
